Engineering New Beliefs
The Foundation of All Belief
Tom O'Connor
Was the moon landing a hoax?
Did Lee Harvey Oswald kill JFK or was there others involved?
Are vaccines safe?
These are just some of the questions that millions have pondered and come to conclusions on.
We humans believe all kinds of things. Sometimes, what we believe can be dangerous, even harmful to us.
Some of the most persistent beliefs are the beliefs we have about ourselves.
So how do we come to believe what to do, what’s the foundation of our beliefs?
That’s what we’ll get into today. Over the past 4 episodes (you can catch up here, here, here and here) I’ve shared several big ideas about beliefs and transforming limitations that every coach, manager, change agent and student of personal change needs to know.
Recently a subscriber asked a really good question:
“How does the process of changing a belief work; do you replace, overwrite, delete the existing one?”
The answer is, it’s actually none of the above.
The little known secret to changing a belief (your own or others) is you alter its MASS.
Never heard that before? Don’t worry, very few students have.
It’s also known as the hidden submodality (a distinction Michael coined after working with tens of thousands of people) and plays a key role in how we construct and engineer a belief, as you’ll learn in this brand-new video:
The sad reality is too many people can create a better life but don’t because their beliefs they hold them back. Pull them down. Kick at their self-confidence.
We need to learn how to DESIGN a way of thinking that gets us moving.
Building Beliefs that get us to do things.
How do you do this for yourself?
Tomorrow we're opening the doors on something very cool ... never seen before. An opportunity for a select group to take control of their beliefs...
