Neuroscience has progressed tremendously in the past decades in clarifying how we sense and interact with the external world.


One of the hot trending areas for researchers in 2021 is interoception. The study of how the brain communicates with our internal organs and is aware of what is going on inside our bodies at all times.


It’s been dubbed the ‘8th sense’ and even if you have never heard of it – your brain uses it every day for regulating body functions (thirst, hunger etc.) and recognising what emotions you are feeling.


It also plays a big role in whether we will take action or whether we will wander into 2022 with…


..no game plan. No direction. No goals.
