LESSON 2

Spy School 101:

Personal Influences Business

People are fascinated by espionage. The sheer number of books and movies about the subject and recent flood of headlines about nations spying and getting caught - attests to this.

People’s thirst for insight in to those who engage in it, is probably in no small way due to the fact that so much of what occurs happens in that world is inaccessible to most people.

This is very similar to how many people view how elite practitioners of NLP apply and use NLP in business. They’ve heard about it but they don’t quite understand how it works or how to do it.

All they know about is fragments of the picture that have been whispered (and frequently distorted) from one student to another. While ‘official’ courses typically teach it as a set of slightly modified therapeutic techniques and frameworks which have been poorly ported on to business contexts.

But this isn’t how the pros use NLP in the business world.

The first thing to get if you want to use NLP in business (whether for covert or overt purposes) is if you use NLP like almost everyone else does, you are going to get spotted in 5 seconds!

And walked out of the room.

Or worse damage your reputation, potentially so much so you won’t be asked back.

Elite spy agencies study NLP because it works.

And like elite spies, elite business NLP practitioners don’t draw attention to their methods.

That’s why there is so little RELIABLE, UP TO DATE and SOUND information in the public about how this stuff works.

First thing to get is using NLP in business is much easier than you likely think is possible.

You’ll hear Michael Breen and I say this several times:

It’s NOT about techniques. It’s about principles.

It’s about teaching your brain better ways to think.

To notice and to combine what you know to create breakthrough for others.

To create a breakthrough you need to first principle to understand is this:

 The personal influences business.

Watch this video excerpt from our private “Business Breakthrough” training -- which isn't available to buy or get a ticket too, at the moment.

In this video Michael expands several key ideas that are fundamental to becoming an elite NLP operator in the world of business.

Becoming a business practitioner of NLP isn’t about what studying NLP techniques – it’s about something else.

Here's an excerpt from Michael distilling the thought for you here:

“It's not so much a question of what you study in order to become a Business Practitioner of NLP. It's what you practice…

Anything that you repeat over and over again, especially in your business life on a day to day basis will become not what you do, but who you are.

I have a little principle where anyone who says to me, having just screwed me, "Hey, don't take it personally. It's only business." I'll never work with that person again because it's not just business.

It's about who you are and who we are.

In becoming a Business Practitioner, what we're really going to take a look at is how you are in the world. Now, I'm not talking here about becoming some kind of superhero or perfect God. No human being is perfect.

We all have things to learn and places to grow, but it's in the consistent application of a process, an "iterative process", it's called... that we can begin to move beyond where we thought possible or beyond where the tendency of our habits was leading us.”

- Michael Breen

Spy school teaches you to become a student of how you and others show up in the world and how to leverage that information at precisely the right moment to do achieve the improbable.

To accomplish the impossible.

But to do that you need to use another trick that every spy and elite NLP operator is trained on…

Be sure to check your inbox tomorrow for an email from me for your lesson on that.

To your success,

Tom
