Using Stories To Create DEEP Change...

5 Common Myths About Advanced Storytelling

That Almost Every NLPer Gets Wrong.

Tom O'Connor

Have you ever seen a master storyteller weave a story and hook the attention of an audience for hours or days at a time?

Have you ever wondered just exactly how does Richard Bandler, Tony Robbins or Michael Breen use stories transformationally to provoke deep generative change in others?

Great storytellers can be incredibly mesmerising.

So good that people don’t even realise that while they laugh and listen … inside in their mind; their brain and nervous system has begun to change.

For decades a handful of NLP masters have been at the forefront of exploring how to tell stories that don’t just entertain or inform but create deep transformations in others.

This is one of the most useful (and advanced) communication skills any practitioner of NLP can learn.

Many have tried, even to penetrate what the very top NLP masters are doing (including other master trainers) – only to fail.

And one of the reasons so many fail is because their starting point about what stories are, how they function and what masters storytellers are doing when doing ADVANCED STORYTELLING is … wildly wrong!

So to help clear up some of the most common misunderstandings and myths I had Michael Breen pull back the curtain and blurt the truth right out. Watch his segment from our course on Advanced Storytelling.

Here’s a quick recap of the 5 myths Michael covered in this video:

  1. The most important person is the audience and the most important thing is in the feedback you are getting which drives how you tell the story.
  2. The storyteller doesn’t own the story. Stories are co-created.
  3. The meaning of the story is how people respond. Not what you intended.
  4. The words are NOT the magic of storytelling.
  5. Finally, you don’t have to have epic stories to be a great storyteller.

Great storytelling is a skill anyone can learn and NLP is full of super advanced storytelling skills that only a tiny group of NLP masters know.

So I’m going to break the seal on several secrets of advanced storytelling that only true masters know so you can begin to apply these powerful distinctions for yourself.

Stay tuned.
