“Get off the X”

How fast life can change.

One day, it feels normal. The next day we’re hunkering down in our homes … distancing ourselves from other humans when we go for a walk.

Is this the new normal?

Too early to say.

So how do you stay upbeat and confident about the future?

Well, for starters by keeping the first golden rule in mind.

What’s that?

You can watch Brad Pitt share it in the video below.

It’s great advice he shared in the hit movie World War Z.

Or extended to today’s crisis, as Moshe Feldenkrais originally put it:

“Movement is life. Life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself.”

Why’s movement so important?

Because when people get scared and when they are fearful, they freeze.

First with their breath.

Then with their bodies.

Then their minds.

They forget to prioritise, plan and project their mind to where they want it to be.

Instead, mental lockdown kicks in.

And they create no direction for life.

That’s a risky approach.

And with your state lifted, follow rule #2.

“Get off the X”

Whenever you feel ambushed by a threat, whether it be physical, mental, emotional or economic, put some distance or an obstacle between you and it.

Don’t wait to be hit.

Move your mind.

Collect and catalase your resources.

As Jason Hanson, former CIA officer reveals in his book “Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life”

“People who move live. It’s freezing and staying put that will get you injured or even killed.”

We’ve still got a ways to go in this crisis, a big reset is coming.

Better to plan and prepare than be trapped in time.
